 Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in various Olympic-type sports for
persons with intellectual disabilities offering events for all ability levels.
Summer:   Softball
Fall:  Bowling,

Bowling For Rock N' Rollers

Special Olympics Area 10 Bowling Tournament Sat Nov9th at Diamond Lanes

All Bowlers must be registered with Susan Adler by 8:45am. Those that are not registered by 8:45am will possibly not bowl.

Please contact Susan Adler immediately if you can't attend the Area 10 Bowling Tournament.

Competition is 9am-12pm approx. Concessions will be open. An athletic refreshment will be provided by the Kiwanis. Usually a cookie and a drink.

Is is requested that all athletes wear their retro bowling shirt or a vand county t-shirt.

Awards will be given on the lane at which they bowl. Final scores will be determined by adding the established series handicap to the total pin fallen.

Those receiving Gold Medals will be eligible to competeat the State Bowling tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana on Sat Dec3rd. A bus will be provided for those athletes needing transporation. you will receive a cal from Susan Adler to let you know if you qualify

Sundays at 1:30pm Diamond Lanes Hwy 41s

$5.00 per Sunday includes 2 games and shoe rental

SPECIAL OLYMPICS VANDERBURGH COUNTY

For Athletes:  What to do?

Bowling:  August thru April – 3 leagues – Bowl every other Sunday either at Willow Lanes or Diamond Lanes.  There is a cost.

Swimming:  Practice to be on Tuesdays starting March 4 thru June 5 at Lloyd Pool.  5-6pm or 6-7pm.  Must have some swimming skills.

Track & Field/Bocce:  Practices will be on Saturdays starting March 22 at 4:00 at Memorial H.S. Field, located on Walnut St.  Practices every Saturday thru May.

Softball:  Try-outs for NEW softball players will be on Saturday, May 25, 9am at the SOVC Field on Evansville State Hospital Grounds.  Those that played last year will be contact by a coach.

Corn Hole League:  Practice every Thursday

Basketball:  Practices will start in November thru March.
